    Types of Permanent Residency

    Visitor Visa (Tourist & Business)

A Visitor Visa allows individuals to enter Canada temporarily for tourism, business meetings, or family visits. It is typically issued for six months, with options for single or multiple entries. Business visitors can attend conferences, negotiate contracts, and explore opportunities without needing a work permit.

A Study Permit is required for international students enrolled in designated Canadian institutions. It allows students to stay in Canada for the duration of their academic program. Extensions can be requested for continued studies or transitioning to work permits after graduation.

A Work Permit authorizes foreign workers to be employed in Canada. LMIA-based permits require employer approval, proving no local workers are available. LMIA-exempt permits apply to specific categories such as intra-company transfers and international agreements.

The PGWP is designed for international students who have completed eligible programs in Canada. It grants them an open work permit for up to three years, allowing them to gain Canadian work experience and qualify for permanent residency programs.

The Super Visa allows parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or PR holders to visit for extended periods. Unlike regular visitor visas, it grants multiple entries for up to 10 years and allows stays of up to five years at a time.

This work permit is available to spouses or common-law partners of foreign workers and international students in Canada. It allows them to work for any employer without requiring a job offer, ensuring families can stay together while maintaining financial stability.
